The Dutch Indies 1898

 
 
As spouses left by ship Rudolph and Margaretha in 1897, to the Dutch - Indies, where MacLeod were quartered, three months after Margaretha's first child Norman - John was born on January 30 1876.
 
After some years, then had proven to be that Margaretha and Rudolph in absolutely no respect at each other were appropriate.

The live she lives in the East suits her perfectly.
As an officers wife she enjoys the receptions and parties under the tropics sun. She can shine on parties and enjoy, in this world, in abundance all attention.

 

 

 
 

 

On May 2 1898 their daughter Louise-Jeanne is born. From the beginning she’s called Non, short for the Malay word Nonna, which means little girl. Her own house with servants, two children, a husband with a prominent position. Griet should feel happy, but there were continuously tensions.

Marriage as little brilliant, the couple MacLeod underwent a heavy tribulation when in the summer of 1899 their oldest child Norman suddenly died. They were poisoned.( Old Indian habit.)  

 
 

 

 

There The little boy here in its grave at Medan, was proved to be poisoned, as well as his one year old little sister Non, but they could keep her alive. April 26 1906, the marriage has been dissolved.
